Defensive controls matter most

Most new players press attacks first and learn defense last. Reverse that order: block and evasive keep you alive long enough to use your kit.

Block predictable strings.
Dash sideways out of pressure.
Use ragdoll cancel when it saves a real punish.

Ability buttons

1-4 change by character, but the route habit stays the same. Confirm with movement or punches before spending the stronger button.

Learn one kit first.
Do not spam every ability at once.
Use Ultimate after setup, not as a panic button.
